EVENT RECAP
SA CAMP ‘STANDOUTS’
6’6 Stretch 4 2026 Brayon Peters | CC Flour Bluff Braylon Needs the Right System, But No Question He is a Scholarship Level Stretch 4 Whose Stock Will Continue To Rise Heading Into His Senior Season. Teams that Run a Lot of Ball Screen Action With the Trail 4 and Recruit SF’s That Can Space The Floor Get Braylon On Your List of Prospects to Watch. Deceptive Athlete, Has a Guard Skill Set and Tough Matchup In the HP for Teams With His Ability To Knock Down Shots and Take Bigger Forwards off the Bounce. Scholarship Level SF That Will Continue to Move up College Coaches Boards Heading Into His Sr Season. Projected Levels: NAIA / NCAA D2
6’7 Playmaker / Wing 2026 Bryant Herring | Brentwood Christian Bryant Is Set to Have a Breakthrough Sr Season at Brentwood Christian. Has a College Ready Body, Shoots the 3 at a high %, and at 6’7 Can Get In the Paint and Shoot Over the Top of the D. Must Continue To Rebound at a Higher Level and Showcase That He Can Defend a College Level 3/4 But Nonetheless He’s a Scholarship Level Talent that Embraces Coaching/Correction So I Predict He Will Elevate His Game In Both Areas and Secure An Offer at one of the Higher Levels When It’s All Said and Done. Great FIT in a 5 Out Motion System and HC Man to Man Defensive Team That Teaches Pack Line Principles. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+
6’0 Combo Guard 2026 Maurice Eddie | Cibolo Steele Talk About a Kid Whose Game Has Grown Over the Past Year and Your Talking About Maurice ‘Mo’ Eddie. Set the Tone for a Great Showing By Winning The Skills Challenge Going Away, Than Took His Game to Another Level During The Defensive Portion of the Camp. He’s Shooting the Ball at a Much Higher Level With A Lot More Confidence Indicating He’s Putting In The Work It Takes When No One is Watching. However, What Stood Out The Most Since The First Camp He Attended 2 Years Ago Is His Progress on Defense. He Is More Locked In on the Defensive End, Applies Consistent Ball Pressure Without Getting Beat off the Dribble, and Stays Engaged Off the Ball. It’s Only a Matter of Time Before He Starts To Gain More Interest. College Ready Combo Worth a Close Look Heading Into his Sr Season Projected Levels: JUCO / NAIA+ (Potentially Higher If Steele Makes Another Deep Playoff Run)
6’8 Forward 2027 Dylan Howard | Buda Hays Dylan Has Possibly The Highest Ceiling of All The Campers at the SA Camp. At 6’8 He Has Good Hands, Soft Touch Around The Rim, and Runs The Floor Like a Guard In Transition. Just Has That Look of a D1 Level Forward With His Upside, Size, Skill Set and Physical Talent. Moving Forward, He Must Learn To Play and Stay In Attack Mode On Both Ends To Stand Out More And Secure His Highest Potential Offer (D1) But Has Time on His Side and The Right Approach When Corrected. Really Intriguing Big That D2’s Should Already Be Recruiting and D1’s Should Add To Their List of Prospects to Watch in the 2027 Class Projected Levels: NCAA D2+ / LM-MM Potential
6’6 Small Forward 2027 Shae McCarty | SA Antonian Prep It Took Shae A Few Hours To Adjust To The Camp Setting, But Once He Did He Looked Like The Best Player In The Gym. He Had a Breakthrough Moment In the 3 on 3 Portion Designed To Test Your ‘Will To Win’ and Took Over That Segment Leading His Team To the Title. That’s When I Saw What Shae Truly Can Do and the Level He is Capable of Playing At Moving Forward. Already a Talented Offensive Prospect at 6’6 But If He Does What He Did In the 3 on 3 Games at TABC and the Late Live Periods His Recruitment and Level of Recruitment Will Increase Heading Into His Junior Season. Another 2027 That Has Plenty of Time To Play His Way Into a Scholarship Level Offer. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+
6’1 Combo Guard 2026 Paul Gumbert-Mendoza | Wimberley HS Broken Record With Paul Gumbert-Mendoza, So I Will Keep His Evaluation Brief! Scholarship Level Combo, MM/HM Level Competitor, Makes Winning Plays On Both Ends of the Floor, and is Coming off A Junior Season Where He Carried His Team To The Regional Final Earning 1st Team All-State and District MVP Winning The District Championships. Winners are Winners and I’ve Heard Some Coaches Question his On Ball D, or His Size as a 2 Guard, But They Are Missing The Boat On What He Brings Night In and Night Out. You Will Not Be Able To Assess That In The 1 on 1 Play That Often Trumps Team Play In The Select Circuit, But Watch Game Film With His HS Team and You Will See What He Brings to a Table. Projected Levels: NAIA+ / NCAA D2
5’10 Point Guard 2026 Jzachery Deleon | St. Anthony Catholic HS Undersized ‘WHO CARES’, Everyone In Attendance at the SA Camp from the Spectators on Site, Opposing Players, Officials & Coaches Loved What Jzachery Stands For And How Hard He Competed from The Opening Tap! It Makes No Sense Why More Players Serious About Playing College Basketball Don’t Do The Things Jzachery Does Consistently on The Floor Which Are He Brings 1. Tremendous Effort 2. Competes On Both Ends With The Intent to ‘WIN’ 3. Communicates Consistently On the Court Which is Contagious and Makes Everyone Play Harder. No Question In My Mind That This Kid Will Work His Way Into an Offer and Be a Great Piece To The Puzzle for a College Program Next Year. Projected Levels: NCAA D3+ / NAIA (Great FIT in an Up Tempo System)
6’6 Stretch 4 2027 Ricky Groff | Davenport HS Not Sure What Position Ricky Truly Is at the Next Level, But I’m Sure That He Is a College Level Recruit With 2 Years to Grow His Game. Players are Players and Ricky is Just a Player that Makes Plays On Both Ends and Has a High Ceiling. Skilled 6 '6 Versatile Wing/SF That Scores It In a Variety of Ways, Made Some Big Time Plays In PnR Action During The Game Portion and Has a High Basketball IQ. No Question One of the Top 10 Players In Attendance at the SA Camp That Will Continue To Move On and Up College Coaches Boards. Too Much Talent With Too Much Time To Continue To Improve His Overall Game Not To Have on Your List of 2027s to Watch This Year Projected Levels: NAIA+ / NCAA D2
6’1 Combo Guard 2027 Emiliano ‘Mookie’ Henderson | St. Anthony Catholic HS Mookie is College Ready Strong, Is at His Best Getting Downhill and Finishing Plays Through Contact In the Paint, and Started To Truly Stand Out When We Got To The Game Portion With How He Attacked The Paint and Made the Right Play. Moving Forward, He Must Continue To Work On His Perimeter Shot To Keep The Defense Honest and Open Up More Driving Lanes, but Has Time on His Side and Good Shot Mechanics So That Will Only Get Better. Right Now, He Brings Consistent Defensive Effort and College Level Playmaking To The Table Which Moved Him Into the Top ‘10’ Prospects at the SA Camp. Projected Levels: NAIA / NCAA D2
6’2 Shooting Guard 2026 Mason Lopez | PSJA North Mason Came A Long Way, and Didn’t Disappoint. He Was a ‘Top Prospect’ at the STX Camp But that Was Against Lesser Competition, So It Was Great To Evaluate Him Against Higher Level Guards and Better Comp and He Did More Than Hold His Own. One of the Best Shooters In The Camp, Moves Well Without The Ball In The HC To Get To His Spots, and Has a College Ready Release In Catch and Shoot Situations. Hidden Talent In South TX That Coaches Need To Research. No Question Mason is a Next Level Guard and Will Be a Great FIT for Programs That Shoot a Lot of 3s and Run Dribble Drive Action. Get Him On Your Radar He’s Worth Tracking His Progress Next Year. Projected Levels: NCAA D3+ / NAIA
NOTABLES SET TO HAVE A BREAKTHROUGH SEASON
6’3 2026 Playmaker Chris Howell | Cibolo Steele HS Chris Will Fly Under The Radar Playing On a Loaded Steele Team With a Lot of Offensive Talent. I Encourage Him To Star In His Role and Be an Elite Defender And Rebounder Every Single Second He Touches The Court. Hs The Length, Versatility, Athleticism and Motor To be Great at Both and That Will Be His Ticket To Playing Beyond HS. Don’t Get Me Wrong He Does a Great Job Finishing Plays at the Rim In Transition and Playing Through Contact, But his College Ready Strengths is His Ability To Defend the 1-3 and How Hard He Competes On The Glass. Star In Those Areas Chris And You Will Not Go Unnoticed… Projected Levels: D3/D2 JUCO / NCAA D3+
6’3 Combo Guard 2026 Paul Coulombe | Canyon HS Paul Took advantage of What Uncommon Exposure Offers Every Single Camper, and that is a Fair Shot To Finish on ‘Top’ and Gain Exposure! He Did Just that in the SA Camp and Won The Day By Making a Lot of Winning Plays Without the Ball In His Hands, and Playing With Tremendous Effort Throughout. Solid Catch and Shoot 2 Guard, Skilled Passer Off The Ball, and Makes The Right Play Over The Highlight Play. Very Efficient Offensive Player That Makes a lot of Winning Plays on the Defensive End and Understands His Strengths. Solid Small College Prospect Whose Stock Will Rise His Senior Season. Track His Progress He’s Set to Do Big Things This Upcoming Season Projected Levels: NCAA D3
6’6 Power Forward 2026 Marshall Hicks | SA Antonian Prep Big Marshall Is a Intriguing Big That Could Do Big Things Next Year At Antonian. When He Battles In The Paint for Position and Catches It In His Spots, He’s a Load to Handle. Has a Soft Touch, Takes His Time on the Catch, and Shoots a Very High % 8 Feet and In! Strong Big Bodied Tweener That Needs To Continue To Out Physical Opponents and Own The Paint and He Will Start To Gain Genuine Interest. Loved His Approach After The Camp To Asking What He Must Do To Improve Instead Of The Opposite Being He Fell Just Short of the Top Prospect Game! I Encourage You To Play BIGGER Than 6’6 Big Marshall Instead of Trying to Make Guard Plays, and Your Recruitment Will Pick Up Over The Course of the Season. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NAIA (Needs The Right FIT but HC Teams That Play Physical Smash Mouth Ball Keep Marshall On Your Radar)
6’2 Shooting Guard 2026 Tacoma Ames | Buda Hays HS Tacoma is a Big Guard Who Shoots It at a High %, Capable of Putting It On The Floor When Run off the 3pt Line, and Has The Size To Shoot Over The Top of the D In Catch and Shoot Situations Which Translates To The College Level. There is a Lot of Local Talent That Are College Ready Offensive Players/Shooters Like Tacoma So If He Elevates Other Facets Of His Game Heading Into His Sr Year, Then He Will Truly Start to Stand Out Amongst His Peers. College Level Shooter To Keep On Your Radar This Year and Track His Progress. Projected Levels: NCAA D3 / NAIA
6’2 Combo Guard 2027 Tim Springer Jr | SA Johnson Skilled Combo Guard Who Continues To Look Better and Better Every Single Camp He Attends! The Key for Tim This Upcoming Season is Can He Take More Ownership as a Leader at SA Johnson Not Just a Leading Scorer Like He Was On JV Last Year. No Question He Can Put Up Points In Bunches and Knock Down Shots, but If He Makes Everyone Around Him Better Next Year With His Ability To Score It Than His Stock Will Rise. He’s Putting In The Work as Every Time I Get a Chance To Evaluate Him, He’s Progressed Now Embrace What It Takes To Truly Lead a Team Tim Jr and Everything Will Take Care Of Itself. 2027 Set to Have a Breakthrough Season as the Lead Guard on a Very Good SA Johnson Program Projected Levels: NAIA / NCAA D2
RISE IN THE RANKS ‘FUTURE PROSPECTS’ TO GET ON EARLY
6’6 Small Forward 2028 Eden Owne | SA Antonian Prep Legit 6’ 6, Runs the Floor Like a Guard, Scholarship Level Athlete that Finishes Above The Rim In Transition, and Has Tools You Can’t Teach and Physical Talent To Play at the D1 Level If He Puts In D1 Level Commitment Over the Next Few Years. Right Now He Uses All That Talent When He Has The Ball In His Hands, If and When He Embraces and Uses That Same Physical Talent Without The Ball In His Hands To Impact The Outcome of The Game The Rest Is History. 2028 With The Highest Ceiling In The SA Camp and The Potential To Play at the D1 Level With 3 Years To Grow His Game. Keep Putting In Work Eden at Being Elite On D and On The Glass and You Will Move Up College Coaches Boards Projected Levels: NCAA D2+ / LM D1
6’4 Playmaker 2028 Branden Pryor | SA Madison HS Long Athletic Playmaker That Can Guard Multiple Positions On Offense, and Defend Multiple Positions On Defense. Was Consistent With His Effort on the Glass Pursuing Boards and Getting a Lot of 2nd Shot Opportunities for His Team or Put Backs. Sprints His Lanes In Transition That Led To Easy Layups, and Has a Solid Mid-Range Game. Doesn’t Have a True Position, But being a 2028 He’s Got Plenty of Time To Develop His Overall Offensive Skill Set and Heading Into The New HS Season. For Now, He Makes Enough Winning Plays, Has a High Motor, and Has The Size and Upside That Got The Attention of Every Coach on Staff at the Camp. Keep Working On Your Game When No One Is Watching Brandon and Big Things Are Ahead Projected Levels: (Too Much Time To Improve In All Facets. He Made The Report Due To Every Coach Getting a Close Look at How Hard He Competes and How He Makes Winning Plays Without the Ball In His Hands)
5’11 Point Guard 2028 Jayden Smith | SA Sotomayor Jayden is a Pure PG That Plays With Great Pace, Sees The Floor Well When Drawing Help, and Has Leadership Traits You Look For In PG’s at the Next Level. He Just Needs Time To Physically Get Stronger and He Has Time Being a 2028, but He Will Play a Key Role for Sotomayor this Year After Several Seniors Graduated. His Best Ball is Clearly In Front of Him, and I Really Liked The Way He Ran a Team and Didn’t Get Sped Up By Pressure Being So Young. Future Prospect In the San Antonio Area That Will Turn Some Heads By The Time District Rolls Around. Projected Levels: (Too Much Time To Grow His Game To Project Levels but is Set to Have a Breakthrough Season at Sotomayor)
