EVENT RECAP
Outside of Raising Canes for Lunch Saturday Which Was a Solid Start to the Weekend, It Only Got Better When The Balls Were Rolled Out and The SA SWIPA Tournament Games Began.
Presented by Triangle2 Events The SWIPA League Is Changing The Game When It Comes to Gaining Exposure and Increasing Recruitment For Dedicated Basketball Players and Competitive Teams. SWIPA Was Founded With Today’s Player In Mind, The League Provides A Platform Where Athletes Can Reach Their Maximum Potential And Ultimately Achieve Their Dream Of Playing College Basketball.
As The Lead Evaluator of Talent With Over 2 Decades Of Experience Recruiting and Coaching at the College Level, I Assess A Lot More Than Hitting Jump Shots When It Comes To Evaluating and Rating The Top Players At Events, Camps, and Showcases.
Having Said that, Let’s Look at Some of the SA SWIPA Standouts That Played Consistent Ball On Ball Ends of the Floor Starting With PG Carter Cash Chism, Playmaker Mario Wooden and Wing Jamison Thrower From IFN (TX). Another Team With a Trio of Players Listed In The Top 10 at the SA Tournament Was Hardwork 2026 Featuring Combo Gerald O’Neal, PG Daimen Ramirez, and Stretch 4 Braylon Peters. Rounding Out The SA SWIPA Standouts Over The Weekend Were Forward William Randle From IFN Houston, Playmaker Jesse Mikus From SB Elite, 2 Guard Elijah Smothers from JWE BC and Last but Not Least Malakhi Morris From TX Conquerors NY2LA. Now That We Recapped What Was a Great Weekend Of Competitive Basketball, Let’s Take a Look at the Full Report of Standouts, Rise In the Rank Players, and Talent To Get On Your Prospect Watch List This Summer!
recruitment report
SA SWIPA STANDOUTS ‘TOP 10’
6’1 Point Guard 2026 Carter Cash Chism | IFN (TX) Possibly The Top Prospect at the SA Tourney Was PG Carter Chism. After The 2nd Game When I Learned He is the Son of a Coach, It Made More Sense as You Can Tell This Kid Grew Up With a Ball In His Hands and The Keys to the Gym! Carter Makes the Right Play, Reads the D and Finds The Right Man In Scoring Position Not Just the First Open Man (Big Difference) On Top of That, I Don’t Recall One Turnover Over The Course of the Weekend. What Impressed me Most Was His Demeanor, It Never Changed and That’s What You Want In a Leader. Makes Everyone Around Him Confident When Your PG Plays Each Possession and Not the Scoreboard. Has a Quick First Step, Plays With Great Pace, Creates Separation On His Shot, And Tough Matchup In Ball Screen Action, With His Ability To Shoot, Pass, Or Drive It. D1 ALERT Projected Levels: LM/MM D1
6’5 Playmaker 2026 Mario Wooden | IFN (TX) Talk About The Sky's The Limit, and You’re Talking About Mario from IFN (TX) Has The Perfect Frame and Motor To Go Along With It, To Impact a Game Without Taking One Shot!!! Not To Say This Kid Can’t Score, But His Ticket to the Highest Potential Offer Is On the Glass and On Defense. Capable of Guarding the 1-4 Spots, Pursued Boards Leading To Dozens of 2nd Shot Opportunities and Has Everything You Need to Be an Elite Defender. Mario Can Flat Out Guard and Guard Multiple Positions Which Will Not Go Unnoticed This Summer. Although I’ve Projected Him D2+/LM That Can Certainly Change When And If Mario Realizes His Ticket Is Being a MM/HM Rebounder and Defender. Projected Levels: NCAA D2+ / LM D1
6’7 Forward 2026 William Randle | IFN (Houston) I May Stand Corrected, But Everyone In Attendance This Weekend from the Fans, Opposing Players and Coaches, HS Coaches On Site Watching Their Players, Etc. Was a Fan of Big Will. It Makes No Sense Why More Players Serious About Playing College Basketball Don’t Watch What William Brings Consistently to The Floor 1. Tremendous Effort 2. Relentless Energy 3.
Knows His Strengths and Is Elite At Them! Most Try To Shoot Their Way Into an Offer, But Very Few Stand Out Like William Does in Today’s Recruiting Landscape. Simply Put This Kid is a Beast On the Glass and On Defense, Doesn’t Do Things Outside His Game, Sprints The Floor Every Possession, and Makes More Winning Plays Without the Ball In His Hands Than Anyone I’ve Seen In A While. If I Was Still Coaching at WTAMU or TX State I Want William On My Side and on Our Roster. Love his Approach and So Will You… Projected Levels: NCAA D2+ / LM D16’7 Stretch 4 2026 Braylon Peters | SA Hardwork 2026 Braylon Needs the Right System, But No Question He is a Scholarship Level Stretch 4 Whose Stock Will Continue To Rise Heading Into His Senior Season. Teams that Run a Lot of Ball Screen Action With the Trail 4 and Recruit SF’s That Can Space The Floor In the HC Must Get Braylon On Your Prospects to Watch List. Skilled Face Up 4 That Can Take it Off the Bounce or Knock Down Shots In the HP Area, Deceptive Athlete That Moves Well On Defense and Finished Several Plays Above the Rim In Transition. No Question He Is a Scholarship Level Talent Flying Under the Radar Playing HS Ball In South TX Where Kids Don’t Get the Same Looks. That Will All Change This Summer With SA Hardwork So Get On Him Early as His Recruitment Will Start to Pick Up. Projected Levels: NAIA + / NCAA D2
6’6 Playmaker 2026 Jesse Mikus | SB Elite Not Sure What Position Jesse Truly Is at the Next Level, But I’m Sure That He Can Flat Out Play and Will End Up With Scholarship Level Offers. Players are Players and Jesse is a Player! Skilled 6 '6 ¾ That Can Play The Wing Position Or Move To the 4 and and Makes Plays out of Ball Screen Action. Jesse Stays Shot Ready, Moves Well Without the Ball To Get to His Spots, and has a Quick Release from Beyond the Arc Knocking Down a High % of 3pt Shots in Catch and Shoot Situations. However, What Moved Him Into the Top 10 Standouts Was How Hard He Competed Consistently Throughout the Tournament. When You Have Scholarship Level Skill to Go Along With the ‘WILL’ To Win It Only Enhances Your Recruitment and Level of Recruitment. Made Me a Fan and Moved Into the Top 10 Players at the Tournament by Bringing Both to the Table. Projected Levels: NAIA + / NCAA D2
6’4 Wing 2026 Jamison Thrower | IFN (TX) Versatile Wing , D1 Level Athlete, and at 6 '4 with his Playmaking Ability and Size Jamison is a Tough Matchup In Transition When He’s Attacking Downhill. Capable of knocking Down the Perimeter Shot, but is at his Best in the HC Attacking the Paint and Finishing Above the Rim or Drawing Fouls. Uses his Body Well To Shield off Defenders and Had Several Dunks In Traffic Going Right Through Contact! D1 Level Athlete & Playmaker that is a Consistent Jump Shot Away From Moving Onto D1 Boards by the End of the Summer. Would be a Great FIT In Programs that Extend Their Man to Man Defensive Pressure and Look to Get out and Run Offensively. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+
6’6 Small Forward 2026 Malahki Morris | TX Conquerors NY2LA Another Prospect That I Was Only Able to Evaluate In One Game Due to Him Not Being In Attendance Day One. Regardless, One Game Was Enough for Malahki To Catch My Attention With His Energy, Motor and Competitive Mindset He Showed Throughout the Game. It’s One Thing to Look the Part Which Will Get a College Coaches Attention, But To Gain Genuine Interest You Can’t Just Look the Part You Got to Make Plays! Malahki Did Just That, Defended the 2-4 Positions, Found Ways To Score Without Having His # Called Offensively, And Made a lot of Winning Plays on Both Ends that Don’t Show Up On Stat Sheets. Really Love This Kid’s Upside, Approach & Attitude To Competing And Impacting The Game Without The Ball In His Hands. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2
6’2 Combo Guard 2026 Gerald O’Neal | SA Hardwork 2026 Gerald’s Coming off and Injury In the Spring That Has Him Flying Under the Radar Heading Into the Heart of the Summer. That Won’t Last Long as This Kid Has a Motor That Never Stops, He Has a Quick First Step To Get By The Initial Defender and Has the Court Savvy When Drawing Help To Make The Right Play. It’s Been a While Since I’ve Seen Gerald But He Left an Impression on Me With His Consistent Play and Effort In All 3 Games. Strong Physical Combo That Guards the 1-3 on D, Scores It in a Variety of Ways, And Stayed Engaged In Help D Situations that Led to TEAM Stops. Lots of Players Wait Until Their Man Has The Ball to Defend, But College Level 2-Way Players Defend The Entire Possession Both On and Off Ball. Gerald Does Just That… Projected Levels: NAIA + / NCAA D2
6’4 Shooting Guard 2026 Elijah Smothers | JWE BC Possibly The Best Shooter In The Tournament Was Elijah Smothers from WTX. When College Coaches Evaluate Shooters at These Events, You Look Closely at How Well They Move Without the Ball and With Purpose, How Quick Their Release Is In Catch and Shoot Situations, and When Pressured Can They Make Enough Plays Off the Bounce To Keep The Defense Honest. Elijah Does All 3 Consistently and Is Always Shot Ready Which Stresses The Help D and Opens Up Driving Lanes for his Teammates. Skilled Passer When Run off the Line, and Scholarship Level Shooter That Could Increase His Recruitment and Level of Recruitment When It’s All Said and Done.Loved His Confidence In Catch and Shoot Situations, He’s always a Threat With His Relentless Movement Without the Ball and His Ability To Knock Down a High % of Shots. Projected Levels: NAIA / NCAA D2
6’2 Point Guard 2026 Damien Ramirez | SA Hardwork 2026 I’ve Evaluated Damien In a Few Uncommon Exposure 2024 Camps, and You Could See He Had College Level PG Written All Over Him. Fast Forward to the SA SWIPA Tournament and That Assessment Hasn’t Changed. Physical Guard with a College Ready Body, Uses Angles On Offense To Get To His Spots, and Stays In Attack Mode. Too Big and Too Strong for PG’s to Defend When He Attacks Off the Bounce, Has Excellent Court Vision When Drawing 2nd and 3rd Line Defenders, and Made a Lot of Plays Without Making a Lot of Mistakes from the PG Position. He’s Set to Have a Big Summer and Will Head Into His Senior Season on a Lot More College Coaches Radars Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NAIA +
RISE IN THE RANKS RECRUITS TO GET ON YOUR RADAR
5’11 Point Guard 2027 Elton Richardson | IFN (Houston) Elton Does What All PG’s Should Do and Could Do, But Most Don’t and That is “Stay Engaged” In the Game Possession by Possession. As a Long Time College Coach at all Levels The First Thing Coordinators Look Closely at in PG’s is How Engaged They Are With and Without the Ball In Their Hands. Keep Growing That Facet of Your Game Elton as It Will Stand Out This Summer to College Coaches, and being only a 2027 You Have Plenty of Time to Elevate Your Recruitment and Level of Recruitment. Stay Engaged… Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+ (With 2 Years To Grow His Game Elton Can Play His Way Onto D1 Boards)
6’4 Shooting Guard 2026 Logan Gonzalez | IFN (TX) Logan is on a New Team, has a New Haircut, Has Added 10 lbs of Muscle, Has a New Backpack, and Had Some New Shoes on This Past Weekend. What Hasn’t Changed Is His Ability To Shoot the Ball at an Elite Level, The Way He Moves Relentlessly Without the Ball In His Hands To Get To His Spots and Knock Down 45% of His Shots from Beyond the Arc, and How Hard He Competes On the Glass from the 2 Position. I’ve Been Evaluating / Watching Logan Since 8th Grade and Regardless of What Team He’s On, When He’s On the Floor He Stay Consistent at What He Does Best and Does it at an Elite Level Projected Levels: NCAA D2+ / LM D1
6’3 Combo Guard 2026 Kaiden Nelson | TX Conquerors NY2LA Kaiden is a Steady Guard That Can Play the PG Position and Run a Team, or Move Off the Ball and Put Point on the Board. Scores it in a Variety of Ways, Has a College Ready Body, and Plays with Great Pace on Offense so Makes a Lot of Plays without Making Mistakes. Efficient High IQ Offensive Player and High Academic Combo To Get On Your Radar. Being in the Top 10% of his Class with his Talent Will Move Him Up College Coaches Boards This Summer. Projected Levels: NCAA D2 / Ivy League
5’11 Point Guard 2026 DJ Jordan | SA Hardwork 2026 DJ continues to Get Better and Better Every time I’ve Evaluated Him. It Looks Like He’s Been Putting In Some Work In The Weight Room, as He Is Physically Stronger and is Finishing Plays Through Contact at a Higher Level. Tough 2-Way Player That had a Breakthrough Junior Season and He’s Not Done Yet. Sets the Tone for Your Defense, Gets in the Paint at Will, and With The Added Muscle / Strength he Is Absorbing Contact Better and Finishing Plays at a High %. Projected Levels: JUCO / NAIA +
6’4 Playmaker 2026 Onose Olumese | JWE BC Onose is a Versatile Wing that Excels in the Open Court Getting Downhill and Finishing or Drawing Fouls. Streaky Shooter but has Good Shot Mechanics and Keeps the Defense Honest by being able to Knock Down Timely 3’s. Being from WTX Where It’s Tough to Get Genuine Looks, He Did What Needed to Be Done Over the Course of the Weekend To Leave His Mark and now will Leave on College Coaches Boards. Projected Levels: JUCO / NCAA D2
7’0 Forward 2026 Daniel Ogomoeka | IFN (TX) Daniel has Traits you Can’t Teach and That is being 7 '0 with the Mobility to Move Laterally on D and Sprint Lanes In Transition. Too Much Size and Too Much Upside Moving Forward that Will End up on a D1 Roster When It’s All Said and Done. The Scary Part Is This Kid Doesn’t Have Any Clue How Dominant He Could Be With His Physical Talent, Length and Mobility. Still Lots of Room to Grow But If You Are Looking for a Big Whose Best Ball is In Front of Him, Then Get to a IFN Game This Summer as He’s Your Guy! Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / LM/MM D1
6’5 Playmaker 2026 Chidea Uhachukwu | TX Conquerors NY2LA I was only able to Evaluate Chidea in One Game, but One Game was Enough for Me to See All The Tools, Talent, and Athleticism Are There To Gain More and More Interest This Summer with the TX Conquerors. Brought the Ball Up as the Lead Guard on Multiple Possessions Showcasing His Perimeter Skill Set, and Has the Length and Size at 6’5 To Go Down Low and Post Up Smaller Guards So Tough Matchup for Opposing Defenses. Has Good Shot Mechanics Knocking Down Timely 3s and Made Some Big Time Plays off the Bounce Finishing Above the Rim. When Chidea Uses That Same Length & Versatility Consistently On The Glass and On D His Stock Will Rise and Rise Quick. Regardless, Too Much Raw Talent and Upside Not To Track His Progress. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+
6’1 Combo Guard 2026 Tre Olatunbosun | IFN (Houston) Over the Course of 2 Days, Tre Started To Really Stand Out On Both Ends of the Floor. I’ve Seen Tre at My Camps and Loved His ‘Toughness’ But It Wasn’t Until Day 2 that He Truly Won Me Over With His Consistent Play. Scholarship Level On Ball Defender, Does a Great Job in Pick n Roll Action at Making the Right Play, and Is Tough To Guard When He Gets Downhill In Both the HC and Open Court. Big PG that is Set to have a Big Senior Season, You Might as Well Get This Kid on Your Radar and Get On Him Early as His Stock Will Continue to Rise Heading Into his Senior Year. Projected Levels: NAIA / NCAA D2
6’1 Point Guard 2026 Roman Washington | SB Elite Roman Plays and Stays Under Control Throughout Games, and Does a Great Job of Taking What The Defense Gives Him. Doesn’t Get Sped Up By Pressure, Knows When To Shoot, Pass or Drive It and Just Runs a Team. I Really Liked Him Day One, But He Won Me Over When SB Elite Took IFN (TX) Down To The Wire Due To Roman Making Winning Plays On Both Ends of the Court That Don’t Show Up On Stat Sheets. Lead Guard That Brings Leadership Traits To the Court at the PG Position. Early Lead on an Underrated Talent Set to Have a Big Summer and Breakthrough Sr. Season. Projected Levels: NCAA D3+ / NCAA D2
6’4 Shooting Guard 2027 Jack Pohlmeier | SA Hardwork 2027 The Best Thing About Jack Is He Still Has 2 Years of Eligibility to Grow His Game! He Has The Skill Set, Size and Upside That Translate to the College Level, and With 2 Years to Continue To Progress In All Facets He Could Play His Way Onto Scholarship Level Boards By The End of the Summer. Jack has a High Basketball IQ, Does a Good Job In Help Defensive Situations, and at 6 '4 Shoots Over the Top of the Defense. Needs To Continue To Work On His Game Off the Bounce and Be More Active On the Glass, but Has Time on His Side and Showed Great Non-Verbal Communication In Tight Situations Which Indicates The Ability To Perform Under Duress or When Coached Which Will Only Benefit Big Jack Moving Forward. 2027 To Get On Your Recruits To Watch List. Projected Levels: NAIA / NCAA D2
BEST OF THE REST SET TO BREAKTHROUGH THIS SUMMER
6’7 Small Forward 2026 Wish Limbo | IFN (Houston) Legit 6’ 7, Runs the Floor Like a Guard, D1 Level Athlete that Finishes Above The Rim In Transition, and Altered a Lot of Shots Off The Ball Defensively With His Length and Instincts. Houston Has So Much Hidden College Level Talent, and that’s Exactly What Wish Is! Playing for the IFN Houston Team Will Give Him The Opportunity To Not Only Grow His Game, But Head Into His Sr Season On A Lot More College Coaches Boards. He Has Tools and Talent That Is Hard to Teach, and Time On His Side To Really Make a Big Leap This Summer Circuit With His On Court Play On Both Ends. Big Man With a High Ceiling To Get Eyes On This Summer. Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2
6’5 Playmaker 2027 Braylon Washington | SB Elite 16U Long Athletic Playmaker That Can Guard Multiple Positions On Offense, and Defend Multiple Positions On Defense. Was Consistent With His Effort on the Glass Pursuing Boards and Getting a Lot of 2nd Shot Opportunities for His Team or Put Backs. Sprints His Lanes In Transition That Led To Easy Layups, and Has a Solid Mid-Range Game. Doesn’t Have a True Position, But being a 2027 He’s Got Plenty of Time To Develop His Overall Perimeter Skill Set and Head Into Next Summer as a Big Wing! For Now, He Makes Enough Plays and Has The Size and Upside To Draw Genuine Interest from College Coaches In the Live Periods. Projected Levels: NCAA D3+ / NAIA (With 2 Years To Grow His Game That Level of Recruitment Can Certainly Increase)
6’1 Combo Guard 2027 Brandon Hailey | SA Hardwork 2027 Brandon Needs the Right FIT, but No Question a College Level Combo In the Class of 2027. The Faster The Game, The Better He Looks! When The Game Sped Up You Could Start To See His Talent and Ability to Make Plays In the Open Court. Super Quick Crafty Guard that Can Play the 1 or 2, Good On Ball Defender that Applies Pressure Without Giving Up Straight Line Drives, and Sees the Floor Well When Getting Downhill and Drawing Help. It’s Only a Matter of Time Before Brandon Starts To Rise in the Ranks, as He Will Be a Key Guy In the Backcourt Next Year at the Always Solid SA Veterans Memorial. Projected Levels: NCAA D3+ / NAIA (Up Tempo Programs Circle This Kid In Your Packet He’s Worth an Early Look)
6’2 Combo Guard 2027 Zavian Willis | WTX Elevate Zavian Doesn’t Pass the Eye Test Walking in the Door, but He Passes the Can Play Test When The Games Got Rolling. Must Improve His Perimeter Shot Moving Forward To Move Onto College Coaches Radars, But Has Plenty of Time on His Side and The Shot Mechanics Are There If he Puts In the Work to Make That Happen. Right Now Brings all the Leadership Traits to The Floor You Look for In Guards, Crafty in the Open Court, Finds Ways To Get In The Lane, and When He Gets to the Paint he Does a Good Job of Using His Body To Shield Off Bigger Defenders and Finish Plays. Competes on D, Plays with a Healthy Chip, and Showed Confidence Throughout The Tournament That Landed Him In the Report. Projected Levels: D3 JUCO / NCAA D3+
6’0 Point Guard 2027 Pierce Fioroni | WTX Elevate I’m a Sucker for Overachievers and That is Exactly What Zavian and Pierce Are for WTX Elevate. One Thing You Can’t Stop or Scout is “Effort” and Pierce Plays With Tremendous Effort and Doesn’t Back Down from Competition. Although He’s Listed as a PG, He’s More of a Combo With His Ability To Shoot the Ball In Catch and Shoot Situations, and Has a High Basketball IQ and Makes the Right Play Over The Highlight Play. Just a Solid Small College Prospect That Controls What Everyone Could But Most Don’t, and That’s Compete Every Possession and Leave It all on the Floor. Don’t Get Me Wrong, Pierce Didn’t Make the Report Cause He Played Hard, He Made It Cause He Can Play and Has a Real Shot to Play At Some Level after HS. Projected Levels: D3 JUCO / NCAA D3+
